Comedy From Scratch is where you go in Westchester County to hear top comics from TV and NYC’s major clubs performing long sets on an intimate stage. Past performers include comedians from HBO, Netlfix, Colbert, SNL, the Daily Show, Letterman, the Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and more. Each show, Ben Asher presents comedy that reaches up into your brain with the force of a fist through the nose.

Every month hear some of the most talented comics perform long sets, that other shows don’t give them the time to perform. Comedy From Scratch is your chance to watch comedians flex their muscles and hit their stride on stage hosted at The Idea Kitchen.
Locally-grown comedian Ben Asher presents a tasting of what the area’s best stand-up comics are cooking up, at “Comedy From Scratch” at The Idea Kitchen every month.
Show at 8:00 PM. Doors at 7:30 PM
Unlike comedy clubs, there is NO 2-Drink Minimum at this show, and there is free street parking.

Ashley Austin Morris is an Actor, Comedian and Writer and can be seen in the new CBS hit THE BITE. HAshley Recently joined the cast of the soon to be announced Shonda Rhimes series for Netflix and just wrapped The Other Two on Comedy Central. Ashley had a recurring role on A&E’s digital series, Think Tank, and has been featured as a guest star on Murphy Brown (CBS 2018), The Big Bang Theory (CBS), The Good Wife (CBS), Desperate Housewives (ABC), Ugly Betty (ABC), and many more.

Peter Liu is a NYC-based stand-up comic with a passport full of stamps and a set full of punchlines. Raised in China, Australia, New Zealand, New Jersey and New England, Peter brings an outsider’s eye and an insider’s charm to every stage he steps on. His comedy mixes sharp observations, wild family stories, and just the right amount of chaos. Whether he’s roasting cultural norms, navigating the dating world, or unpacking life with his wonderfully weird relatives, Peter keeps the crowd laughing and guessing the whole way through.

Bassam Shawl is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. He performs regularly at The Stand and New York Comedy Club, has been featured on Don’t Tell Comedy, and was a “Comic to Watch” at the New York Comedy Festival, and has written for Tiffany Haddish.
KEITH CHASE

Keith Chase regularly performed standup comedy in NYC and has appeared on HBO’s “Game Theory with Bomani Jones” and “The Dean Obeidallah Show” on SiriusXM. He’s performed on a regional stage throughout the Northeast as well as Los Angeles. His festival appearances include the 2019 Meadowlands Comedy Festival, 2022 Sixth City Comedy Festival, 2022 Portland Maine Comedy Festival, 2022 Finger Lakes Comedy Festival, and the 2023 Burbank Comedy festival where he was named “Best of the Fest”.
